Dear Fellow ASI Alumni,

            Your new ASI Alumni Association is slowly, but steadily, growing and moving along. We have many exciting programs in the making. In addition to participating in the ASI graduation program and Welcome ceremony we are planning our first annual scholarship fund-raising event. And don't forget to mark your calendar for the third annual ASI Alumni Summerfest taking place on the Cal Poly Pomona campus at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.

            Now as we head into our annual election your ASI Alumni Board seeks your help by volunteering to serve our Board. I know that all our time is precious, but let me re- assure you that by volunteering you won’t be committing to many meetings. We expect to have two meetings per year at Cal Poly Pomona and perhaps 2-3 phone meetings per year. So perhaps a total of 8-10 hours per year of meetings and then attending an event or two. What’s in it for you? As we all experienced during our terms in office, the “Learn by Doing” philosophy is what made us and our ASI Teams successful. What can be better than to come back and help the student leaders of today by sharing our knowledge, wisdom and helping in mold the future leaders of America.
